Prada just introduced a new tote bag in squared shape for the Fall Winter 2017 Collection. It’s gorgeous and has the look to compete with today’s modern handbags. If you’ve looked at our ‘Prada Cruise 2017 Collection Preview’ article, you will know that there are more stunning tote bags on the way. But can you wait?

The design

Built in squared shape, this bag is designed in solid colors and minimal distractions. It definitely has the timeless look, just like other popular Prada tote bag, for example the Galleria Bag. The top features the Prada Milano logo, but just below you see a stitched stripe, which is something we see more often these days on Prada bags.

Made with double handles, it also comes with an adjustable shoulder strap that can be removed. So you will be able to carry it by hand or on your shoulder.

The large squared tag is another new invention; it’s crafted with a buckle strap to adjust the size and it’s also printed with the house’s signature logo. The leather choice is calf, which is a durable leather but also smooth and soft.

The interior

Inside you will find one large compartment, two inside pockets and one includes a zipper closure for your important essentials. This tote bag is an great everyday bag because its spacious and the leather impeccable.

Measuring 34.5 x 29 x 14 cm, priced at $1970 USD, €1600 euro, $2140 CAD, £1380 GBP, ¥246240 JPY via Prada boutiques.

Prada 2017 Trick Keychains

Other Brands

Hands up if you remember Prada’s beloved Edward? In case you forgot, he’s the blanked face robot that came in a Saffiano-wrapped body and electrical cables for limbs that stole our hearts when he first came out back in 2009. Edward is no ordinary robot though; he is actually a bag charm/keychain that comes with his own steel hook and split ring, and over time, has become one of Prada’s most unlikely icons yet.

And because it has reached icon status, Prada’s Trick keychains now extend to a family of colourful robots whom have joined Edward, with equally adorable names like Robin, Romeo and a girl robot named Giulietta, amongst others. Standing slightly taller than their older brother Edward (14 cm), these all-new Trick keychains range between 18 cm and 19 cm long with even brighter and bolder colours (and even more metallic hardware).

An adorable keychain that also looks good on your pouches and totes as a bag charm, you can even hook them all together as a little family of robots, because #moreismore. Available at all Prada boutiques islandwide, these new ones are retailing at SGD610 each, while Edward (which is the OG as far as the Trick is concerned) is priced at SGD430. And something to note, whoever said fashion is a bad investment should know that Edward was retailing for just SGD140 back in 2009. Really.

Prada F/W17 Etiquette Collection

Other Brands

If you find this blue label on Prada’s latest bag series particularly familiar, you’ve definitely got a keen eye for details. Commonly found in Prada’s RTW pieces, the label (or etiquette in French) makes her debut on this F/W17 collection of bags, SLGS and accessories. Sewn on like a garment label that’s prominent on the black calf leather exterior, not only is this blue tag distinct on the outside, look within the bags and you’ll find that the label complements the powder blue suede lining beautifully.

While Prada’s entire Etiquette line will be made available in a variety of colours in fabric, leather and exotic skins, we are focussing on the black glacé calf leather bags and SLGs today: specifically the tote, shoulder bag, zip pouch, long wallet and credit card holder, which we’ll get to in a bit.

The tote and shoulder bags come with pewter metal studs on the exterior, and are finished with interior pockets and zippered compartments so you don’t have to worry about getting an extra bag organiser. Just slot them within the necessary pockets and you’re good to go. The tote comes in a size that’s handy for work, without looking overbearingly huge at 28 cm by 20.5 cm, and you can sling it over your shoulder or tote it on your hand for two different looks. The other might be labelled a shoulder bag, largely due in part to its detachable leather strap that comes with a padded shoulder patch, but it’s more of a small sling bag if you ask us. Coming in at 23 cm by 15 cm, it is as cute as it is functional.

Now if you’re looking for something smaller, take a look at the SLGs that are full of surprises within. Open the long wallet (18.7 cm by 9.5 cm), and you’ll find the makings of a classic Prada wallet interior, and it comes with an extractable badge holder. The credit card holder (15 cm by 9.5 cm), on the other hand, comes with an extra cardholder within that you can take out and slot within your pockets for those easy tap-and-go days into office or zipping in-and-out of MRT trains. Then there’s the zip pouch, a handy companion that you can use as a lunch pouch, to hold your makeup or even as a small evening clutch that isn’t overly fussy.

Cool, most definitely functional and something new from this storied Italian house, head on down to Prada boutiques today where you’ll find the Etiquette collection available now.

Every once in a while, there is a heart-melting handbag wandering around at MyTheresa. This new Prada Clutch Saffiano one of them. Now, we know what Saffiano stands for, because we’re familiar with the forever-famous Saffiano Lux Tote. The Saffiano is patented by Prada and is one of the most luxurious and durable materials in the world. Basically, when you decide to purchase this purse, it will be a lifetime investment.

The design looks simple and timeless. It’s made in single color with a boxy shape; the front features the brand’s iconic logo ‘Prada Milano’, in gold-tone metal. The reason why this bag is called a Clutch Shoulder Bag is because of the snap closure on the top. This type of snap closures are usually crafted on clutch bags, but this is not a clutch. This is a full shoulder bag.

The golden hardware on the logo and the clasp on the top create the ultimate luxury appeal. It also comes with a long leather strap that can be adjusted anytime. And given that this bag is only exclusively available at MyTheresa, you will own a limited fashion piece.

Measuring 6.5’ x 8.5’ x 4’ (H x W x D), priced at $1970 USD, 1835 euro, $15300 HKD, $2820 AUD
